Naze 'Taz' Okoye was born on September 27th, and grew up in multiple impoverish neighborhoods. Aside from being born in Trinidad, and spending a few years in Atlanta, the Hollygrove neighborhood of New Orleans, Louisiana  is where the rapper made his home.

The eldest of three children, he was born in Trinidad (along with his younger sibling Cayo. Almai was born in ATL.). His father hustled their way off of the island and to America, relocating in Atlanta, Georgia. Shortly after, Taz' father quickly became familiar with the American street hustle. Supplying his family with every need while living comfortable in their crime ridden neighborhood. Naze has experienced the police busting down his parents door, CPS, taking his only sister. That motivated a now 12 year old Naze to hustle like his father, even got his 9 year old brother Cayo in on the family hustle.

Once Naze turned 13 his mother took Cayo(then 10), and headed to Florida. Devastated that his mother left,

raised in Atlanta, Rapper, trying to jump into other things.

His mother, a cook, gave birth to him when she was 19 years old. His parents divorced when he was 5, younger brother Cayo was 2, and his father permanently abandoned the family. Later it was discovered that he was murdered. His mother packed him, his younger brother Cayo, and sister Almai, and headed to the states.

First making a stop in Atlanta, where they first sowed their roots. But, after a few run in's with the law, their mother packed them up again, this time heading to New Orleans. Which is where Naze's sister had passed away at the age of 12,(Naze was 9, Cayo was a fresh 7.) from a stray bullet. (Which us why he calls Hollygrove home.) By this time Naze had already been rapping about his life, and struggles, and gained credit from older guys in his neighborhood. By the age of 14 he dropped out of school to focus on his music career. Naze was in the streets full time, his mother had packed up a 12 year old Cayo, whom was his ride or die left hand man and moved to Atlanta.

Cayo had finally made his claim to fame, gaining a buzz on the radio at age 18, his career has taken off since. Commercials, Superbowl appearances, tv shows, clothing lines, even branching out and becoming the lead sound tech for a few wrestling companies.
