Born Jacquees Makaveli Okoye is a singer/songwriter, touted as the next R&B star. Born in New Orleans, but raised in Atlanta. After learning about the music of the Jackson's and the Temptations through television shows, he taught himself to sing when he was only nine years old. During his school days, he went on to participate in a number of talent shows, winning trophies back-to-back each year.

 

His professional career started slowly, and then grew big pretty quick. He initially gained exposure under the moniker Primo, but quickly dropped it once it didn't catch on. He then made a number of mixtapes selling them at school using his first name before releasing his EP '19', which gave his career a jumpstart. Featuring on Billboard charts which soon resulted in his cousin Taz linking him to meet his idol D.Bird and worked with him on the mixtape 'Lost At Sea'. He is currently finalizing his debut album, '4275'.
